Our History

In 1933, Pons Insurance Agency, Inc. began operation by A.A. "Trigger" Pons who was later joined by his brother, Walter Pons. Following their retirement, in 1981, the insurance agency merged with The Brinkley Company and Brinkley Insurance Agency, Inc. later became the registered trade name. On April 1st, 1996, Cooper Insurance Agency of Drexel, NC was purchased as Mr. Nolan K Cooper began his retirement. The following year Valdese Insurance Agency, owned by Joseph Mahaffee, was purchased and moved one block up the street to our office.

 

Today

Currently, Brinkley Insurance Agency serves the needs of thousands of individuals and families and many business entities in the Unifour and adjacent areas. We represent several national and regional insurance companies with strong financial ratings and excellent claim service. It is our desire to provide our customers with the coverage they need at a price they can afford. And it is our goal to delight our customers with service second to none.
